چکیده

Soil transmitted helminths are parasitic groups of worms that live in countries with subtropical or tropical climates. In humans, when exposed to eggs larvae, they can cause infection. Stool examination is divided into qualitative and quantitative examination. Qualitative direct examination, flotation, tape, deposition, thick preparations. Kato-Katz Stoll quantitative. The purpose this study was compare the results STH identification using Formol Ether Sedimentation Method ZnSO4 Solution Flotation a total sample 30 samples purposive sampling. Data analysis percentage tables Chi Square statistical correlation test prove number infected soil Helminth solution flotation same. With p value = 0.850, which means there no significant difference between flotation.

Prevalence and distribution of soil-transmitted helminth infections in India

BACKGROUND Understanding the prevalence of soil-transmitted helminth infections is necessary to plan control strategies and focus on highly endemic regions for preventive chemotherapy and improved sanitation facilities. India is known to be endemic for soil-transmitted helminth infections. METHODS To understand the prevalence, spatial distribution and identify high-risk zones, a systematic se...

Comparison of formalin-ethyl ether sedimentation, formalin-ethyl acetate sedimentation, and zinc sulfate flotation techniques for detection of intestinal parasites.

Formalin-ethyl ether sedimentation, Formalin-ethyl acetate sedimentation, and zinc sulfate flotation techniques were compared using over 250 clinical parasitology specimens. Fifty positive specimens were identified, and a variety of parasites, including amoebae, flagellates, cestodes, nematodes, and trematodes, were encountered. The Formalin-ether and Formalin-ethyl acetate sedimentation proced...

Global epidemiology, ecology and control of soil-transmitted helminth infections.

Soil-transmitted helminth (STH) infections are among the most prevalent of chronic human infections worldwide. Based on the demonstrable impact on child development, there is a global commitment to finance and implement control strategies with a focus on school-based chemotherapy programmes. The major obstacle to the implementation of cost-effective control is the lack of accurate descriptions ...

Soil-transmitted helminth infections: ascariasis, trichuriasis, and hookworm.

The three main soil-transmitted helminth infections, ascariasis, trichuriasis, and hookworm, are common clinical disorders in man. The gastrointestinal tract of a child living in poverty in a less developed country is likely to be parasitised with at least one, and in many cases all three soil-transmitted helminths, with resultant impairments in physical, intellectual, and cognitive development...
